Komisi Pemberantasan Korupsi (KPK) sedang menyidik proyek di Kementerian Pendidikan Nasional sekarang Kementerian Pendidikan dan Kebudayaan yang melibatkan mantan Bendahara Umum Partai Demokrat Muhammad Nazaruddin. Artinya, ada tersangka yang dianggap bertanggung jawab atas hal tersebut.
“Kasus terkait Nazaruddin yang banyak itu, beberapa sudah penyidikan, beberapa penyelidikan. Silakan pimpinan baru melihat. Beberapa yang di universitas sudah dinaikkan,” ungkap Wakil Ketua KPK Chandra M Hamzah di Jakarta, kemarin.Namun, Chandra enggan menyebut siapa tersangka kasus pengadaan alat bantu laboratorium tersebut. “Silakan Anda tanya ke pimpinan baru, tugas kami tinggal sehari,” ujar Chandra sambil tersenyum. Seperti diketahui, KPK tengah menangani proyek revitalisasi sarana dan prasarana pendidikan Direktorat Jenderal Peningkatan Mutu Pendidik dan Tenaga Kependidikan (Ditjen PMPTK) di Kementerian Pendidikan Nasional tahun anggaran 2007.
Proyek tersebut tersebar di lima universitas. Dalam kasus itu, KPK telah meminta keterangan anak buah Nazaruddin yaitu Direktur Marketing PT Anak Negeri Mindo Rosalina Manullang dan seorang dari PT Permai Group, Gerhana Sianipar.
